Men,

Football is a game that teaches you skills that you can use for the rest of your life.  But no one gets to play football for their whole life and no one gets to coach their whole life.

Whether you are playing or coaching football demands sacrifice and if you wish to bring your team to the very top your sacrifice must be greater still.  At this point in my life I can't choose to sacrifice the time spent with my two boys at home anymore. But like I said after the finals, "You don't need me anymore".  You have the skills and the lessons I taught you still within you.  You get to keep those forever, just as I get to keep all of the memories and emotions - both joyous and heart-breaking - that you have given me.

That is just how life is.  Make the best of it.
